local colour

A beautiful walnut tree, right in the middle of the local town centre. I must have walked past it hundreds of times over the years, but never really noticed what it was.

We found a handful of windfalls on the grass verge. The dye I made last year is just about exhausted. Time for a fresh brew.

Finds like this make my day.

  4. If it'd been a snake, it would've bitten you. That's what we say around here when we somehow, inexplicably overlook what's right in front of us. Really good find!
