summer stitches

Old well-washed linen, and a burgeoning collection of naturally dyed threads.

I've been really wanting a simple portable project for the summer. This will become a journal cover.

Stitching in squares. One at a time.

The harmony in these colours continues to surprise me.

    1. Thanks Susan. I was thinking about the inspiration you found from the Dutch darning sampler as my stitches began to weave across the linen.
