indigo leaf bundle


 Indigo leaves from here.


Bundled with alum mordanted silk and silk thread.


Simmered for an hour.


Untied.

Print revealed, another wonder of indigo - delicate maroons when processed this way (for wonderful bundles and important, beautiful work read India Flint).

  3. Love seeing what you are doingx Quick question: I have been lucky enough to have been sent some indigo seeds and l was wondering if you could tell me how and when you plasnted your seeda and it there any thing l should be aware of especially? thanks in advancexxlynda

    1. Hi Lynda, Treat your indigo seeds as if they are annuals. Start them off indoors on a warm window sill. Mine have taken quite a while to germinate this season. Don't move them outside until the end of May as they are pretty tender. Good Luck! x
