Some teaching about patchwork and mending is coming up shortly.

These pieces were in need of some work. I've been joining them back together in the darker evenings. A useful way to think and to plan. Retracing stitches, thinking about the processes.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my indigo dyeing post and all those of you who visited via Jude. Thank you so much for reading and supporting my blog.

  1. I've been making hexagons this week in Karen's class. love the hexagons. what a treasure to work on those old ones.

What lovely gentle faded colours and softly worn edges.

  3. I do like the faded colours too.

Do you already have dark evenings in UK? Not here yet. The end of the summer is being generous this year.

  4. oh the beauty of those worn pieces. and they will be even more precious once carefully mended. wish I could be there for the class.
