in colour


It's so grey here at the moment. I've been stitching away on this for a while, picking it up when I have a few spare minutes, but felt I needed a bit of brightening up to welcome the new year.


More local silk thread, this time from Lister Mills, a couple of miles down the road, once the largest silk factory in the world.


My supplies of all this lovely old button-hole twist are running low. Hoping for another charity shop lucky find soon.

  2. I love old cottons and silks, but it's so rare to find them in charity shops. I can't wait to see what this looks like when it's finished. Btw, it's grey in Manchester to. :(
